happy turkey day

i always thought paul simon looked a little bit like my dad...

so, its thanksgiving, my favorite day of the year. this year, its a little bittersweet, but i still have lots of things to be thankful for. here's an abridged list:

my grandma - though she's no longer with us in body, she has stayed with me in spirit. i know she will help me through these tough times. and its good to know i have a growing group of fans looking out for me from the afterlife. yes, i believe in that.

the good health and happiness of my family and friends, including my extended family - babies for everyone!

my friends - i'm so thankful to have a group of friends that genuinely care about me and are there to support me and help me through any challenge. without them (lauren, lex, anne, erin, etc.), i would not have survived this summer, and i know they will help me through my latest hurdle in life.

rob - no explanation necessary :)

my cute apartment and lovely roommate - although i could do without the buzzkills who live downstairs.

ugg boots- thankfully, some australians have figured out how to wrap my feet in sheep's wool and make it socially acceptable to wear them outside.

the tivo/dvr- an amazing invention i am thankful for on a daily basis.
