tgis (thank god its summer)

tonight was a perfect night. a perfect last thursday of spring, may 21 evening. maybe it was the warm summer weather, or the anticipation of a long weekend, the first weekend of summer, just one day away. or maybe it was a fun dinner full of chatting and catching up with the girls. a friend in from out of town. a love note from my boyfriend via text.

whatever it is, i am -- finally, thankfully -- happy. i am content. exhausted, stressed, overwhelmed, but not overtaken. just happy and content.

look how far i have come since last summer. there have been so many ups and downs in the last year, but by this time last year i was a miserable sop. last summer became a renewal for me -- new apartment, new job, new boyfriend. it all happened for me during the warm, sunny summer months. but it can't all stay sunshine and rainbows. come fall i injured my foot, lost my grandmother, lost my job.

now, finally, things are back on track. new, exciting job. new apartment soon. once i get through the lsat in two weeks i'll be able to check that stress of the list. life is not easy for me now, but its pretty good. summer have, generally, treated me well. and i'm happy that its here again.

i'm ready for the summer! bring it on.

also...so you think you can dance premiered tonight. the wait is over. life is good.
