celebrities -- they're just like us!

its nice to know that even a list celebrities like anne hathaway have to deal with the same problem as us commoners, like break ups. here is an interesting take on anne's recent break up from her financier boyfriend. he had been in the news recently for bouncing checks made out for hundreds of thousands of dollars, among other allegations, but anne stuck by him. recently, new york's attorney general started to investigate his foundation for fraud, and anne finally dumped the loser. then he was arrested.

the new york magazine blog, the daily intel, asks "why did it take so long for anne to see her scumbag boyfriend for what he was?"

Do you have a friend like that? Who will believe anything that their significant other says because the alternative is scary? If so, stop thinking Anne Hathaway is so dumb. She may have carried on the charade for herself longer than most, but she's essentially made the mistake that tons of people make every day: thinking that love can be a basis of trust, instead of the other way around. If you think it's ridiculous, then why are movies with exactly this type of plotline (occasionally starring Anne Hathaway herself) so damn popular?

i personally do not think its ridiculous. because i've been there.
