coming back to life

i went to the gym today for the first time in two weeks. it was a challenge for me, because i've had a nasty cold/sore throat and pink eye, so i have to wear my glasses.

yes, you read that right. i have pink eye. after two trips to the doctor, including an emergency visit to the new york ear and eye infirmary, i have been diagnosed with viral pink eye, or basically a cold in my eye. fab.

to make matters worse, it has been pushing 100 degrees with disgusting humidity here since late last week. i thought i could survive until i move out of this apartment without an a/c, in order to avoid the hassle of schlepping the window unit from connecticut where i keep it stashed during the winter months, but it is getting unbearable.

and yes, here is another piece of news for you. i am moving july 1. i am moving in with my friend lo. we found this great place in this weird section of brooklyn, which just happens to be very close to several of my co-workers. but by weird i don't mean scary weird like crown heights where i used to live. its weird because its kind of between different neighborhoods, but its very cute and up-and-coming and close to prospect park. (more to come about it as the day approaches)

i'm looking forward to having a new space and a new place to live and grow. and i also will be able to get a dog.
