gerald ford dead today, and i'm gay

i usually do not use this forum to commemorate dead presidents, but gerald ford's death last night brings back memories of an old snl sketch i love to quote.

dana carvey, as tom brokaw, wants to go on vacation for the winter. in preparation, his producer has him pre-tape news items that may occur while he's away. the whole sketch involves announcing that gerald ford died in various ways.

my favorite comes near the end, when he says "gerald ford dead today, and i'm gay."

one of my favorite blogs had this same feeling, and had this link posted today. i am not alone in my grief for the loss of a 93-year-old former president, and my love for all things snl, no matter how silly.
