things i loved last week: long weekend edition

i missed my chance on friday to reminisce about good things that i loved last week, because i was setting off on my first trip of 2008. so, in the spirit of traveling and other fun things that come with long three-day weekends, my love list will include all the things i loved this weekend. (more details on my trip to follow)

my new boots



i have been looking for flat, tall black leather boots for quite some time. and when my cousin suggested we stop by some premium outlets on saturday, i knew the boots i had been looking for would undoubtedly be waiting for me there.

although its hard for me to find boots to fit my fat calves, these just about do it. and if i tug hard enough on the zipper i can even get them over jeans, which, as you know, i gave up on a few months back. i love these boots. they totally made my weekend. and i will wear them non-stop until the zipper completely gives out. i give them 2 weeks. but at least i got them on sale.

no explanation needed. they are warm. they are sugary. they are chocolate covered in granulated sugar and plain with confectioners' sugar. with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces. if you're ever at a d&b, try 'em.

dance war: bruno vs. carrie ann



what were the creators of this show thinking? its like cheesy criuse ship routines subjected on us viewers as bruno and carrie ann fight amongst themselves. and i still can't understand bruno when he talks. i hoped this show would be part american idol and part so you think you can dance. but its not even close. i believe this is destined to go the way of that failed grease reality show. hopefully.
