some housekeeping

you may have noticed that things look a bit different around here. last week, i took the plunge and bought up the domain name amandaernst.com. although i had hoped to launch a personal website separate from this blog at that domain, i have grown tired of waiting for that, so i linked to this blog. (the reasons for my website not being created are numerous, but mostly its because i am clueless when it comes to web design and i have relied on the free help of others -- and free help is always unreliable)

for the moment, you can find amanda in the city by visiting www.amandaernst.com but all older links will still work. when this changes, i will let you know.

you will also notice some additional stuff on the sidebar at left. first, there is a link to my freelance ad at mediabistro, which is essentially a combination ad/portfolio/resume. i'm hoping it will stand in for the portfolio website i was hoping to launch at amandaernst.com.

there is also a new way to reach me, a new email: amanda AT amandaernst.com. feel free to send comments, questions, advice or job offers there.

you will also notice that i had added ads to the site, because a girl's got to eat. i've had ads at the bottom of my blog for the past year, and i have not earned one cent. i'm curious how much these additional ads could bring me, but i'm guessing it won't be much.
