bugs!

i just found a gross bug in my bathroom! it was cockroach-like but it smooshed really easily and it was smaller than i think cockroaches are supposed to be. it also had wings. what was it and what can i do to make sure i am not over run? eeeeeew. i just don't want bugs in my food!!
