things i loved last week

iced coffee

nothing says springtime more than iced coffee. well...maybe not. but to me, the ritual of switching from hot coffee several times daily to craving something cool and sweet and caffeinated signals the changing of the seasons like nothing else.

this week, the sun was shining sometimes but there was still a chill in the damp air, and although it felt more like february than april, i still longed for iced coffee in the afternoon instead of my typical warm, steamy cup. i even splurged for a starbucks iced nonfat latte on thursday. so yummy. so refreshing. and $4.

still, i know it won't be summer until i start to hit up dunkin donuts for large iced coffees pretty much any time i can. but although the winter is stubbornly refusing to leave the northeast, i know that one morning i will wake up to 80 degree temperatures and we will, as always, be in the midst of summer, having completely skipped spring altogether.

when that happens (and rest assured, it totally will) just grab an iced coffee and leave your winter coat and scarves at home. and don't forget i told you so.
