more resolutions

first of all, my good friend and fellow brooklynite lauren has updated her blog and i love it. check out the new link on the left.

second, i was motivated by something i read in a blog today to create a few more resolutions for myself this year. well, after i get the first one under my belt. remember that one? join a gym and go to it? yes, it is now almost 12 days into the year and i have yet to do that! but i promised myself i would do that this very weekend, so its on my calendar. i swear.

other things i want to do in the coming year all have self-improvement in mind. i want to see friends more often (a classic amanda pledge), read more classic books, and get into the habit of reading the paper.

most importantly, i have decided to become more stylish. like not trendy stylish, but define my own sense of style. much like matt has the matt miller uniform. i need my own uniform. i'm thinking nice jeans, boots, nice top of some kind. i dress like a shlub every day right now, which i liked at first, but now i'm getting sick of. i'm 24 years old, i need to start acting like it, dressing like it. impressing it like it.
