a few moments of levity

so we got a gumball machine at work. it was kind of a random thing. it was sent to someone who no longer works at the office by this company called credit consolidation something. we don't know why she would be getting a gumball machine. maybe she consolidated her credit, and they sent it as a thank you. like a football phone or toaster when you join a bank.

anyway, my boss decided that we should set it up. that gave us a few moments of hysterical laughter as gumballs bounced around the one room where we all sit. then it turned out you have to pay (!) for the gumballs. so we think its sort of a way to save your money, like a piggy bank where you get a reward (gum) for every penny saved. literally.

so who gets to keep all the pennies we're stashing in the consolidated credit gumball machine? our boss, probably.

but at least we get the gum.
