catching the travel bug

its on. the end of the summer/early fall travel schedule is in full swing. last weekend i was in stamford, this weekend i made a quick trip to atlantic city, and on thursday i depart for lexington, kentucky.

this upcoming trip makes me happy, because i get a day off to just about nothing and bum around lexington all friday being touristy and hopefully getting a tan.

but it makes me sad because i will be missing the live second part half of this week's two-part finale of so you think you can dance.

tonight, in an awkward show that was taped thursday night sans audience (so as not to reveal the eliminations) we said adieu to pasha and lauren, as i predicted along with everyone else sytycd fan with half a brain.

the obvious question is why didn't they just broadcast the show live on thursday? stupid preseason football. i wonder if it got more ratings that top-ranking sytycd?

i'm awaiting the hotly anticipated first half of the finale wednesday night. yay!

while i'll be traveling a bit this week, i'm going to keep you updated on my travels and take pictures. now that the fall vacation is all but booked, i have nothing else to distract me from updating the blog...well except for work but i've been getting pretty good at that stuff.

and this is my winning screen on the video poker machine that proceeded to pay me $40.

so lots of wine, cheese, creme brulee, more drinks, salt water taffy and $40 later, i left atlantic city with a crazy headache, some fun memories and plenty of silly stories. it was a great trip.
