ready to pack it in

i don't believe in "the secret," that crazy book that's on the new york times best seller list and oprah. but something profoundly secret-like happened today.

last night i was lamenting about my current living situation and my unhappiness. my mom suggested that i just move (despite my recent lease re-signing i admit its something that i have thought about). i said it was expensive, and who would i move in with anyway?

then today i heard about a girl who had found the perfect two bed in park slope (5 blocks from my current place) but whose roommate had just backed out as they went to sign the lease. the situation was familiar. but am i ready to move in with another stranger and lay down dough for another apartment?

turns out, i'm not. good thing, too. my roommate told me today that another tenant in this building who broke his newly signed lease is now being sued by our crazy old lady landlady. yeah. sued. looks like i'm stuck here folks!
