fashion tip

i am not a particularly fashionable person, so you will rarely see me giving fashion advice. but i just came across such good news i wanted to share.

first of all, please know that i am obsessed with jackets, coats, blazers, scarves, hats and all manner of outerwear. that being said, my favorite coat is my red wool peacoat. i ordered it online almost 4 years ago, and it fit perfectly, even with hefty sweaters underneath. it has served me well for four winters, and its buttons never fell off (although i had them reanchored after two seasons). now, the lining has ripped under the arms a tad, and the wool is looking a little threadbare. it is time to retire ole red. i need a replacement.

so i went to victoria's secret, where i purchased the red coat so many years back, to see what kind of options they have. to my surprise, they have my very same coat!! in all different colors and sizes, and its on sale.

now, over the years i have gotten many compliments on my coat. so wanted to let you know that this is a very fine piece of outerwear and totally worth it if you're in the market for a wool peacoat. the red is a great pick me up on a dreary winter day, and it stands out amoung the sea of black in new york. even if you don't need a new coat for this winter, they will probably be around next year, too. and if you don't want red, they have a variety of colors, including the standbys: black, camel, gray and winter white.

now all i have to decide is whether to get another red on or to go with a new color. princess pink? baby blue? i don't know...i'm thinking of sticking with my old standard.
