project runway: sjp in the house
first of all, new project runway, thanksgiving, what more could a girl ask for this week? omg.
i am so excited for turkey day tomorrow...but not as excited as our 14 remaining designers when they learned that they were going to be designing for fashion and pop culture icon sarah jessica parker. chris even cried.
the designers' mission: create a two-piece for sjp's clothing line, bitten, with a $15 budget. the garment must retail for $40.
the designers were 30 minutes to sketch, and then they individually met with mr. carrie bradshaw's alter ego. she picked seven designers who then had to pick partners from the remaining seven.
poor sweet p, as weird as she is herself, really endeared herself to me this episode. she was picked last to buddy up, and ended up crazy elisa's partner. sweet p was not amused by elisa's antics, especially when she licked her fabric to mark it or something. when asked why she said she wanted to "imbibe" it. that word must be a favorite of hers. she's used it at least 3 times in 2 shows so far...
my opinion of elisa remained unchanged throughout this episode, and sweet p summed it up best: "i'm on earth, and elisa is on some happy planet, i'm not sure the name."
as the sewing progressed, a few pairs seemed to be showing promise, while others, like marion and steven and, not surprisingly, elisa and sweet p. but when it came down to the runway, elisa's design was one of the best! it did look great, although the outer layer looked like it was made of sound proofing material.
when it came time to talk about the two worst designs, heidi mentioned that more than one person might go home. that made me nervous.
but in the end only one went home: marion. oh well, we didn't get to know him too well anyway...but i couldn't help but think that christian deserved the get auffed with his flash dance 80s throw back number. but he is this season's santino...i predict he will be here until hte bitter end.
and my girl, victorya pulled out her first win. i have good vibes from that one.
