greetings from san francisco

hello from the west coast!

i have been here for three days, and four nights, and i have not had the chance to sit down and write a quick post, because i have been at times too tired or too busy. but i'll take a couple moments now to let you know what i have been up to...

my flight out here was pretty flawless. it was raining like crazy the day i left, and a shuttle van picked me up at my apartment at 1 p.m to get to the airport by 2:30. it only took 45 minutes to get there, though, so i sat at the airport for quite some time, waiting for my 4:30 flight to leave.

we left on time, and i sat in a window seat, with no one between me and the lady in the aisle seat. the only bad thing about the trip: the entertainment system was no working, which meant not tv or movies. however, we all were given a $25 credit on the airline (virgin america) and free food (otherwise you would order it through the entertainment system and pay with a credit card). and although the ride was a little bumpy (from turbulence) we picked up 30 minutes en route, so i landed early.

i will let you know how the trip home goes, but at the moment i highly recommend taking virgin america. its one of the most well-operated airlines i've flown.

anyway, since landing on wednesday night, i've worked two days, eaten more food than i want to remember and drank countless glasses of wine. i've also forced erin to drive me up and down the hills of this city in a stick shift car. so far we have driven down lombard st., the curviest street in the country, seen fisherman's wharf and ghiradelli square (home of ghiradelli chocolate in the u.s.) and toured various san fran neighborhoods like embarcadero (beautiiful views) and fillmore st. (super cute).

on tuesday i fly home early in the morning (on the west coast) and land in the afternoon on the east. i will post pictures then.
