things i loved last week

i have to admit that last week is just a blur that includes flying home from san francisco, snow in the city, and apartment hunting. i had a tough time remembering what i did, let alone what i loved.

san francisco

oh how i do miss you, city by the bay. although i do love nyc, something about san fran captivated me. perhaps it was just the camaraderie of spending several days nonstop with a buddy. that is always fun.

while i was in san francisco, i sent some postcards. don't ask me to tell you what they said or why. i sent one to my parents that, apparently, said "if i was to move to california, this is where i would move." not that i've ever really visited any other part of california.

when my mom asked me why i felt that way, the only explanation i could come up with was that san franciscans like to drink wine and eat cheese--two of my favorite activities.


the other boleyn girl

i started reading this book on the plane. it's over 600 pages long but its so addictive i'm more than half done. i find time to fit it into my busy life, without even bringing it on the subway too often. its too heavy!

can't wait for the film. doubt it will do the book justice, although i feel like there are lots of things that could have been edited out to shorten up the tome.

stuff white people like*

hysterical blog that all white people can relate to. i found myself saying "yeah, i do like that" quite a lot. and in other cases, i thought "stupid hipsters."
