easter 08

in the catholic church, easter is one of the holiest times of the year. i never really gave it too much thought because it was not associated with presents. but, there is lots and lots and lots of candy.

i ate a lot of candy last weekend. i also actually went to church to pray, and not just because my mother made me. five years ago, this would not be happening. but recently, i have started to have more faith in god. or at least i have been putting more faith in god as times become more challenging. what? did i just say that. yes. yes i did. me. god. hanging out. maybe even friends.

this year, i made going to church more often a new years resolution. i have not stuck with that one at all. then it was easter. and there was church and our family tradition of a post-church donut delight stop (a stamford version of dunkin donuts) for bacon, egg and cheeses. later, we had a big dinner, all five of us, and then dyed eggs.



my mom made a cake shaped like a bunny, and its head and tail fell off. i iced it and did triage with cupcakes. i think it came out pretty good. (see above) that is, until my brother decapitated it, again.
