things i loved last week

march is here! here are some things i loved during the last week of february:

celine dion

ok, i know this is semi-embarassing, but i am totally psyched to see her perform in boston in august. i'm sorry, but i grew up in the age of celine, when songs such as "its all coming back to me" and "because you loved me" were radio hits. and who could forget the stirring titantic medley that combined celine's academy award winning song "my heart will go on" with actual audio clips from the highest grossing film in history? z100 played that nonstop for the bulk of my ninth grade year.

okay, so maybe i'm being sarcastic, but i think it might be a fun time. maybe i'm crazy.

easter candy

there is only one time a year when mini cadbury eggs (the one with the hard candy shell and solid chocolate inside) are in stores! got to stock up now. other favorites of mine: robin's eggs malted milk balls, pastel colored peanut m&ms, jelly beans and peeps! i even have a baby pink stuffed peep that sits at my work computer!

oprah's big give

have you seen this show? it debuted sunday and it was, as the big o would say, a-MAZE-ing! here's the premise: a reality show competition in which oprah gives contestants money to use to better other people's lives, either through fundraisers, collections, donations or anything they can do! the one who gives the least is out!

what is there not to love? it has lots of my favorites: oprah, reality competition and sad stories about underprivileged and/or suffering people with an inspirational conclusion!

on sunday, the winners were clearly stephen and eric, who raised more than $100,000 widow got money to go towards paying off her home mortgage, as well as scholarships to private school for her young twin daughters. uplifting!

love it!
