never go candy shopping hungry

today, on a whim, i bought $15 worth of easter candy. and the store didn't even have my favorite treats, those little cadbury chocolate eggs with the crisp candy shell. nor did i get my other two holiday favorites - jelly beans and malted milk eggs. i have to leave something for the easter bunny, right?

when i got home, the first thing i ripped into were the mini reese's peanut butter cups, wrapped so cutely in pastel tin foil. then i went at the gummy sweettarts, which are too sweet for my taste. but i still managed to pack away quite a few. I have saved two 12-oz. bags of "bunny mix" m&ms, one peanut and one almond, and a bag of small dark chocolate eggs. the m&ms probably won't make it to the weekend, but the dark chocolate i will parcel out over time. i'm no animal.
