new blogs

i have started to clean up my blog a little bit, to make it more professional looking. for as long as i have had this blog, i have linked to other friends' blogs (at left) that i have read from time to time. today, i felt like it was time to clean it up, get rid of some blogs that i don't really read any more. i've also added two new fun blogs that you should check out.

the first one, on the backpack beatfollows the travels of a former colleague of mine, sara, who is currently traveling the world from australia to africa to india. earlier this month, her backpack carrying all of her personal belongings, was stolen. i can't imagine traveling in a foreign land with my possession on my back, let alone having all those possession stolen and having absolutely nothing. but, being the globe hopping trooper that she is, it looks like sara is toughing it out and continuing on her trip as planned. i know i will be following her escapades!

the second blog, soap and chocolates is my childhood friend diana's latest incarnation of her personal blog, which she has dedicated to food and nutrition, and seems to be doing a mighty fine job of by the way! her food pictures look amazing, and she has lots of great, healthy ideas, although i don't think i'll be mixing up a green smoothie any time soon.
