new and improved posting starts now

the above picture doesn't really represent anything, but i wanted to stay true my promise to post more interesting things, like pictures, so my blog looks more interesting. i chose this picture because you can see my new hair cut in it. i'm still getting used to it. also, you can plainly see in the picture that the microwave i sit next to is wide open. the eic does that. he is a very brilliant man, but he doesn't seem to understand that microwaves don't need to cool down after your done using them. you can close the door right after. have you ever heard of anything this absurd?

now on to more interesting things...

i have so much to say today, but i'm going to stick with theme of job hunting for the time being. yesterday i took my interview test. it really did last 3 hours and was very much like a high pressure sat. i mean, when you're taking the sat, you don't think that a possible future employer is going to be reading your work directly. that's for the hired goons at the princeton review to do. but this was a big deal. i wanted to impress.

but, i'm not sure i achieved my goal. the biggest part of the exam, a 500 word article written from 4 sources they provided, was easy enough in theory, but the subject matter was hard for me to tackle. i think i did the best i could do under the time constraints, and if it doesn't work out, i'll be ok, too. it was a small company and the job would be very difficult with long hours. i'll be happy if they offer it to me, and of course i'll accept, but if they don't i won't be overly upset, either.

now my only worry is that they'll call me for a second interview while i'm on vacation. for those of you keeping track, i'll be leaving for my caribbean cruise in 5 days. i'm too excited for words. expect a link to a crap load of pictures after i get back!
