worlds colliding!

so if you're as big of a fan of the office as i am, then you will know that my hometown, stamford, conn., is jim halpert's new home. ah those wonderful views of the smelly sound from his office windows, must be the infamouse "city that works." well, it seems that said city is pretty darn proud of its new-found fame, and my ex-hometown rag (and former employer) the stamford advocate, trumpets the connection in this sappy article:

"the office" promotes character to "city that works"

my favorite part:

"To create the fictional Stamford branch of the fictional paper company, the production staff contacted the city's real-life Chamber of Commerce. They asked about where Stamford workers might eat, and had the chamber send items that might make it onto the desks of a Stamford office -- things such as coffee mugs and other items emblazoned with the logos of local companies."
