an update

could this picture be the subconscious reason i've been named poptart by one of the biggest u2 fans on the planet?

oh wow, is it hard to stay on top of this blog thing when i have something to do eight straight hours a day! i took all that free time for granted when i was an assistant!

oh well, i'm much happier now. things improved since last we chatted. the last three days of work have flown by. i've written three stories a day, and enjoyed it! i've also been attending daily lunch meetings that have taught me about the various things we cover. so far i've learned about intellectual property law, securities law, bankruptcy law and employment law. tomorrow i'm learning about competition law, and then i should be set! we also write about health law and finance law, but those are kind of self-explanatory, no?

the hardest thing i've had to do so far is ask for some days off in december. i felt greedy asking for vacation days before ever actually earning any!

but why, you may ask, did i need to take off days in december? well, it seems as though i will be traveling to the great state of hawaii to see u2 and pearl jam perform an amazing concert. my plane ticket and concert ticket is being deemed my christmas *or* birthday gift from the boy, but i have a feeling it might end up being a slashy. its not as great as a puppy, but given my living situation constraints its good enough!

my only regret is that we don't to spend more time in hawaii. we're landing there on a friday afternoon, and leaving monday evening.

also, i regret that i no longer have friends or family living in hawaii. the only ohter time i was lucky to travel to hawaii i was hosted by my cousin who showed me around as only a local can. this trip promises to be very different, but it will be amazing and fun nonetheless!

before i start to madly download u2 and pearl jam songs and make endless playlists on my ipod in preparation, let me give you a quick update on halloween...
