the emmys

so since i am such a tv nut, the primetime emmys are a very big deal for me. i get more excited for them then the oscars. its like all my best friends are getting awards for doing things i love!

anyway, before i discuss the emmy noms, i want to let you in a little secret that even i didn't realize until recently. here goes: i watch over 20 hours of tv a week. i estimate that i watch about 2 to 3 hours of tv a day, with even more on weekends, which is at least 21 hours a week.

so to be clear, here is a break down of a typical week in terms of hours:
sleep: 56 hours a week (33% of my week)
work: 40 hours a week (24%)
tv: 20 hours (12%)
commuting: 8 hours (5%)
other: 44 hours (other also includes sleeping and watching tv)

sad.

anyway, i am happy to announce that lots of my favorite shows, including new shows like 30 rock and ugly betty, were nominated in various categories. my favorite snl sketch in years, dick in a box, also scored a nod. yesssssssss.

and...my new favorite love so you think you can dance also got some love, with choreography noms for wade robson and mia michaels and at least on other technical nomination for outstanding hair.

my pick: shout out to my girl jenna, who is my friend on myspace so you know we are bff, but i think vanessa williams may take this one.

my favorite shows got so many nominations! woo hoo! i watch good shows. no more making fun of my television choices behind my back.
