my predictions

as promised, here are my predictions for which three couples are going to be in the bottom three tonight on so you think you dance, along with my pick for the final three on top chef.

last night was eventful on both shows. on sytycd, we learned that the top 10 will go on to the national tour. i believe it is exactly like the american idol tour except there is no singing. and more dancing. good dancing. come to think of it, i want to go see one of these shows!

on top chef, the remaining 11 contestants had to cater a latin-themed lunch for the cast and crew of a mexican telenovela. the twist: they were told they had 3 hours to cook but were only given an hour and a half. madness ensued! also, famous chef tom colicchio said asked the telenovela actors "whose the bitch?"

so now my predictions:

so you think you can dance week 5
yesterday i said lacey was my favorite to win it all, but this week her hip hop routine with kameron was just so so. with only six couples left, its a tough call who will be on the bottom three. i think lacey and kameron are in real danger, but they have so many fans in general that people who vote will vote for them no matter what.

this week, i think lacey, kameron, pasha, sarah, sabra and dominic will all be safe. the rest, even anya and danny couldn't be saved by showstopping numbers this week. i liked anya and danny's foxtrot, but i don't think they have built the same fan base as the rest. for the record: i don't like anya but i think danny is very talented and versatile.

so my prediction for the final six tomorrow: anya, danny, lauren, neil, hok and jaime. i don't think anya or danny will be going home...i think it will be lauren and either neil or hok. too early to tell which. possibly hok because he's kind of reached his creative limit. and wade robson was not a fan this week.

(p.s. wade robson is a year older than me. apparently he was some sort of child prodigy dancer. he's a genius. i am so jealous)

however, if i had my way, anya and hok would be going home, leaving the long-legged leapers jaime and danny to pair up! how awesome would that be?

and soon, the couples will be changing from week to week...

top chef week 5
bye bye lia! i liked her a lot and i'm sad to see her go. i thought casey was almost a definite to go this week because she was in such peril last week...one thing is for sure, casey's days are numbered.

so here is who i'm liking now. i'm sticking with chris. he laid low this week, but he is a strong competitor. joey, a chef at cafe des artistes in nyc, really shined this week, so he has moved into my top 3. also, tre did very well on the quick fire, and he had been one of my favorites from the beginning. so there you have it. my picks to make it to the final three for this week:
