the poll aka the future of amanda in the city

hello! and, thank you to the four people who voted in my poll. actually, i really appreciate the feedback, and its got me thinking.

first, here are the results. although there were a total of 5 votes, one of them belongs to me, so that one doesn't count. or maybe it counts more than the rest! we'll get to that...

anyway, even though only a total of 5 people voted, there were four votes for choice #2, "keep the theme, go public," and 3 votes for choice #3, "make it less personal."

i'll just come right out and say that i voted for #3, so that means the remaining four people voted for #2, with two of those people ALSO voting for 3.

so, i think the readers (all four of you!) have spoken. i agree that i want to see if my blog can attact new readers and speak to random readers like my favorite blogs that i read. so, i am going to make strides to do that in the next few weeks. promise.

additionally, i want to make this blog less personal. but the problem is, i have already written very personal things on this blog, including pictures and descriptions of where i used to work, my boyfriend and my family. i'm trying to decide what to do with this information. ideally, i would like to place it all in one archive that is password-protected, but my web design contact has told me this might be possible. i'll keep working on it.

in the mean time, stay tuned to amanda in the city. i am updating more often and trying to do some new things. thanks for voting and checking in on me and my little blog!
