busy?!?!

i've actually had a pretty productive day today. i didn't read gawker at all until after 4 p.m. that's a landmark for me.

so the eic from the magazine that i interviewed with on friday called my references today. it was awkward when i answered my boss's phone and it was someone calling for a reference for me. i guess stranger things have happened.

my boss wanted me to stick out for something that is closer to what i want to do. i told him that this job has potential to grow, something that is important to me and something my current job doesn't offer at all. he couldn't argue. i would already be packing my bags in preparation for a new job if they hadn't mentioned the low paying salary on friday. even if i get them to give me what i make now, would a move really be worth it?

later tonight i'm meeting two more potential roommates. they are checking me out. making me bring references and pay stub copies and all that good stuff. i think i might just start up front with the "i'm poor" thing and see how long the meeting lasts. they might be nice people, but i bet they'll tell me to take a hike. in which case i'll still have my parents and i don't care anymore.

i left my ipod and digicam in stamford. how sad. maybe i'll go home sometime mid-week to retrieve them. i know matt would like that. i think i'll do the wednesday unless something else comes up.

speaking of my digicam, i haven't taken many pictures lately. i guess you can say i've been uninspired. oh but you better believe i will be filling that baby up to the top on our vacation! i guess i just don't do anything fun anymore that i want to record.

i have a feeling soon things will start to look sunny again for me. things are already starting to look up.
