new digs

its not completely official yet, but it looks like i might be moving into a real apartment with a real (cool) roommate sept 1. no moving home for me!

it all kind of just fell into place. i had emailed this girl, carly, through craig's list last week. yesterday morning she called me back. she is 22, just graduated from berklee college in boston, and staying at her dad's on long island for a few days. she had found this apartment in park slope and her roommate had backed out at the last minute. she came into the city and we met for lunch. we totally hit it off (we both reached for our tide to go pens at the same time, so it was fate) and then we met again later to go look at the apartment.

so carly and i get along great and the apartment is pretty nice. there are a couple drawbacks, like the location, which is a bit far from the park, and the fact that there are no closets and the bathroom is set up just like the one in my apartment now. but its in a nice building, and i can keep all my stuff, and carly said i could have the bigger bedroom. and its $200 cheaper a month than my apartment now. can't go wrong with that. and carly loves little dogs so she won't mind if i get one, even if we're not technically allowed to have them in the apartment. that kind of clinched it for me.

so two weeks from today i should be all moved in and unpacking and getting settled...its going to be a hectic 2 weeks!
