homeless
so remember those two promising leads i had apartment wise? well, both of them ended badly. turns out i'm too young, i don't make enough money and, well, i'm just not as loveable as some.
so, here's the plan: if i don't find something by sept. 1 (something might come up in the mean time...i'm not stopping looking completely) i'm going to be moving out of 1171 president regardless. if nothing comes up i'll be selling what i can, bed, armoire, kitchen table and chairs. i'll be moving a majority of my stuff back to stamford and putting the rest in storage. if anyone wants to temporarily store a couch and stuff for me until i need it again, maybe we could work something out.
so i guess i've given up. the whole moving to brooklyn and living on my own thing just wasn't for me. i haven't really made the decision to move in with the boyfriend completely yet, and i don't want to push that on him just because i'm currently without a place to live.
staying at my parents will give him some space. it will also take the pressures of looking for an apartment off me completely. then i can concentrate on job hunting. and i'll still look for apartments occasionally. i might find something that suits my needs eventually. and maybe i'll get a higher paying job and i'll be all set. or maybe i'll get a job in connecticut and leave nyc altogether...well at least during the week.
so i'm getting into my hobbies again, as you can tell with the current frequency of blogs. i think i need to really buckle down and work on my novel and get it ready to be sold and marketed. i have some ideas. it definitely must be chick lit. but i'm not sure if it should focus on my job or my relationship (adapted of course). maybe a little of both? the job is obvi a lot less interesting than the relationship. maybe i should do bridget jones meets devil wears prada. told in first person.
will get to work on this right away. i really want a new computer. something small and compact that holds a charge so i can take it with me on the train to stamford and work on my writing while commuting. maybe i will save up for one. should have blown my money on that instead of an apartment! would have gotten many more miles out of the computer, i'm sure.
