baseball and other musings

so i'm going to a baseball game tonight. normally, i would say, "i'm going to a yankees game" but because i'm being forced to go as an orioles fan, i'll just say baseball and leave it at that. this will be the fourth game i've been to this year, and the third yankees-orioles match up at yankee stadium (the other game was at oriole park in baltimore but i forget who they played).

tonight i have the pleasure of viewing the game from the forbes box. normally, this would make me very excited, but last night i had the most awful dream. i dreamt i was at some sort of forbes event where the whole company was there and we were being called up one by one to recieve contracts for the upcoming year (hey i never said my dreams were based in reality). they began calling up the staff from the bottom up, so i knew i was up soon, and readied myself. when i went up to accept my envelope, there was awkwardness. they told me there was no envelope for me...meaning i was fired. in front of the whole company, just like that. i was devastated. i couldn't find my boss, my friends, or my boyfriend anywhere. i went to the bathroom and cried, and then left my cell phone there and eventually had to go back. it was still there waiting for me.

besides being very disturbing, what does this dream mean? i think that it shows me that although my role isn't a happy one, its still better than being kicked out on your ass.
